Rachael + Daniel's Bright Biltmore Wedding

Rachael and Daniel beautifully combined their traditions at their cozy December wedding at The Biltmore. Incorporating Rachael’s Chinese heritage into the event was so special for both families as the couple became one! We were honored to be asked to plan their special day after knowing the couple from the wedding industry, and going from simply vendors to really close friends! The planning process was sweet with Rachael, and the love between the couple was incredibly apparent! The girls started getting ready in their suite at the hotel, and the boys enjoyed lunch at Frank and Albert’s. Soon after, Elyse Hall Photography and Mary Claire Photography shared the role in capturing special moments through the lens, while Serendipity Cinema started taking videos to capture laughs and movement while the bridal party got ready! Before getting into their wedding day attire, Rachael, Daniel, and their families met up for the Chinese Tea Ceremony—one of the most significant events to take place during the day. The Bride and Groom paid respect and gratitude to both families through formally offering tea. The moment was truly exceptional for all involved. And Rachael looked gorgeous in red—a prominent color that flowed elegantly throughout the wedding day design. The couple then separated to get dressed for their first look and to share a quiet moment alone before preparing for the wedding ceremony. Guests poured into Cottage Court and looked over the programs as they waited for the ceremony to begin. Carte Blanche Design created a gorgeous round arch adorned with an abundance of flowers and greenery. The pops of pinks and reds in the florals framed the couple sweetly, and everyone had a smile on their face as they watched Rachael and Daniel seal the ceremony with a kiss. The newlyweds walked back down the rose petal-covered aisle, beaming at all of their friends and families. Meeting up on the Aztec Patio, guests enjoyed snapping Polaroids throughout the hour and perused the couple’s guest book and collection of photographs on display. The Chinese lanterns that were arranged above the escort card table added a unique element as Rachael and her Mother actually took a trip to Hong Kong to get them! After enjoying drinks and hors d’oeuvres, the Ballroom began to fill with guests finding their seats. The Aztec Ballroom was completely transformed into an elegant, candlelit space for Rachael and Daniel’s Reception. The gold linens and chairs softly reflected the lighting throughout the room, accentuating the architecture and mixing the soft and harsh lines perfectly. Guests’ tables were adorned with stunning centerpieces alternating between tall and low vessels, creating amazing dimension and leading the eye throughout the room. Champagne glasses were raised as family members gave touching toasts to the couple. After dinner, Rachael changed into another red dress, stunning her Groom, and got the party started! The group danced into the night and enjoyed a perfect end to an amazing day!
